Effective use of Walkie Talkie
Effective use of Walkie Talkie
din masuk, din masuk.....din sini.....ada apa? bang cat sini.....hang pergi tenguk gate depan....ada eksiden situ.
I really feel very sore when ex-soldiers who keep harping that they have more than 20 yrs of military service but cant even apply basic voice procedure when using walkie talkie.
Why voice procedure is important? Because at any one time and in one frequency [channel], only one user can speak through the walkie talkie. Others have to wait for their turn. If I dont allocate callsigns according to seniority, of course nobody will know who should speak first.
I always hear "DIN MASUK! DIN MASUK!" [Din come in, Din come in]. I will accept this if the user is from a kampung [village] and who has never seen a radio set [transceiver].
Voice procedure is important because it helps us to keep our movement a secret. Other non related listeners will never know what we are talking about because we are using codewords for all important information. If other knows about our daily routine, our plan, our observation, our movement etc, then there is no point of having security guards. CCTV is enough!
To all ex-soldiers please brush up your voice procedure before you start talking about other issues. At times I feel very shy to say that I am ex-soldier my self.
